Research Into Action/Adventure Genre Film Trailers And Posters

My main reason for conducting textual analysis was to find out what common features were used in the production of Action/Adventure film genre trailers, promotion posters, and magazine front covers.  I will conduct the analysis through analysing the trailers of three films of the genre and tally how many different features are used in them e.g. variety of camera shots, and transitions.  I will also annotate three different film promotion posters and magazine front covers to find common features and regularities e.g. Font, Colour Scheme, and Main image.

The first forms of research I started to produce were to find out the common features which are used throughout trailers of the Action/Adventure genre through textual analysis of existing products.  I did the textual analysis through different methods depending on what the product was, for example the film trailer was analysed through counting different types of camera shots, transitions, and sounds.
Before analysing the trailers I first looked at a wide variety of existing Action/Adventure film genre posters, such as the ones you can see below;

After looking at the these wide range of film posters I then began to start the textual analysis of the trailers, editing their promotional posters, and editing the magazine front covers.  These are my Textual Analysis;
